The eclectic electronic producer’s upcoming 4-track EP ‘The Line’ showcases jjjacob’s serious dance chops further, drawing on his love for French Touch legends, modern innovators like Disclosure and Kaytranada, and the addictive, maximalist sound of early Calvin Harris.

The first single taken from the EP is ‘Stereo’, it’s insistent disco beat and stuttering bass urging you on, and warm keys drawing you in, the track unfolds like a hot summer night in the city, leading you inevitably to the dancefloor.

jjjacob’s blend of influences finds its full expression in EP’s ecstatic title track (and next single due 8th July), where squelchy bass, synth stabs, funk guitar and uptempo drums jostle shoulder to shoulder, all kept in line by classic impassioned house vocals.

The producer describes the EP as “a culmination of bright and hopeful dance music that I’ve only found myself able to make now since the reopening of dancefloors.”

With a true crate-digger’s heart and a knack for stitching together irresistible rhythms, jjjacob has this summer’s dancefloors firmly in his sights.
